About Us

In the 1950s, the Pickerel Lake Trading Post was built on the south side of Pickerel Lake to serve the neighbors of Springvale township and the surrounding area. In 1998, Kevin and Michelle Nichols quit their Detroit-based jobs to venture north in search of a better lifestyle. In April, 1998, they purchased the Trading Post and made it theirs. After a little remodeling and a name change, the now Party Shoppe continues to serve the Pickerel Lake area after 20+ years of business! It has been, and continues to be our goal to have a friendly and welcoming establishment that offers a little bit of everything to save you that unnecessary trip to town!
